Whether you're looking to learn something new, give back to your community, or just spend a morning outside with good people, there's a place for you at Grace Community Farm.

We're building more than an urban farm — we're building community around regenerative agriculture. Every volunteer who joins us on a work day helps grow food, care for the land, and create a space where neighbors of all ages and backgrounds can connect.

Everyone is welcome. We're working to make this an intergenerational space — not just a place where different generations happen to be present, but where they actually work and learn together. Youth and seniors alike have a place here.

What You'll Be Doing

Volunteer work touches every part of keeping the farm running, including:

  • Farm maintenance & operations — caring for equipment, facilities, and land, plus planting, tending crops, and harvesting

  • Learning — hands-on experience with food production, sustainable growing practices, and environmental stewardship, with plenty of room for the knowledge and interests you bring to the table

  • Community — connecting with fellow volunteers and building real relationships with the neighborhood around the farm

How It Works

  • Drop-in hours: Wednesdays & Saturdays, 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM

  • Time commitment: There's no minimum number of hours per week — come when you can. A single visit is typically around 1 hour, and if you're working on a longer-term project, you're not expected to be there for every day it takes to finish.

  • Registration: All volunteers need to register before joining us.

  • Orientation: A volunteer orientation is highly encouraged, though not required.

  • Sign in/out: Please sign in and out at the entrance each time you visit — it helps us track our impact.

  • Volunteering is always a free choice — no pressure, no obligation.

  • You'll be treated with respect, given a safe place to work, and offered training and the resources you need to do the job well.

  • You'll have clear roles and responsibilities, and a voice in decisions that affect you.

  • You won't be asked to cover expenses out of pocket.

  • Your contributions will be recognized and celebrated.
